Victor Cologan

vcologan@student.ulg.ac.be Ph.D. student (Biomedical Sciences). Following 4 years of studies in biology, Victor carried out a Research Master in cognitive sciences and then in neurosciences at the university Paris-Sud XI Orsay. His resolutely multidisciplinary profile led him to work in laboratories on various neuroscientific topics (mnemo-emotional interactions, neurovascular coupling, sleep and depression), in human or animal, using behavioral, electrophysiological, cellular and molecular biology tools.
In January 2007, he obtained a financing from the FRIA
(http://www1.fnrs.be/1-apropos/3-fonds/fondsassocies.html) which allowed him to join the team of Steven Laureys in order to study disorders of consciousness. His objective is to acquire and contribute to the multi-disciplinary knowledge of the coma science group while specializing in electrophysiology. After his PhD, his prospects would be to continue to work on human consciousness but employing non-lesional approaches.
